Composition

Have you wonder where position of the subject suits the frame or which camera angle is the best?
Well, this is the use of composition.
Composition is one of the most important thing in photography. Take some pictures of same image from different point of view and pick the best you prefer. It's good to take pictures from many angles so you would know which angles will be the best. Sometimes when you position the object at the center of the picture it won't look quite right, but that doesn't mean that it's wrong to do that. You could use this method:

Open Space- Leave the open space in the direction in which the subject is headed. That also mean that , if subject looking off to the side it's better to leave more space at that direction.

Rule Of Third- Imagine you divide the image into thirds both horizontally and vertically. This will form a four intersection point. Place most important objects at the intersection point so that your picture will become more interesting.

This is the example of rule of third

Focus

People get excited when they get a new camera, they just click and take as many pictures as they can. Then they tend to find photography tips so that they become a better photographer. This is a great thing to do. You should started capturing pictures of simple objects first. Obejcts that don't make any movement so you can learn how to use the focus. Many digital camera lenses now come with options :
1. Autofocus - switch on the side of your lens
2. Manual Focus - switch on the side of your lens

Usually photographers use the autofocus and let the camera focus itself. But there's time when your camera won't focus easily. It's better to use the manual focus when times like windy or your objects is 25 feet away and you have a passive camera. Firstly, you have to set your camera auto focus at the side of your lens, focus on the closest object that you want to photograph and focus automatically on something that isn't moving then you have to switch to manual focus. Hold your camera body in your right hand and the other hand put it underneath the lens. This will make you easier to rotate the focus ring using your fingers.
